Is Music God

poem by: Justin McElveen

Emotions one can’t see.
Love’s truest form, in tune and in key.
Translated for any language.
Without you, life would be even more dangerous.

Fly through the air, bouncing off the walls.
If you get a name, what would you be called.
You get us through most sleepless nights.
When tight, yet loose, we smile, we cry.
In the moment yet taken away.
When I am in your zone as I play.
I even hear your ring when I lay my head down.
If you’re there then show me somehow.
Because I hate this place, yet I have so much love to give through you.

Music, are you God?
