Bommy Nights

Fourth of November they were very busy
nights,
nicking neighbours bonfire wood which caused quite a
few fights
Bonfires stacked everywhere, that's theirs, this is ours
just look at thissen!
That's there for the taking, we were on
a mission!
We saw the torch lights all aglow but their guarding was lax and
not very good,
we were oh so sneaky nicking loads of bonfire wood,
the best stuff was just laying there ready to be
stacked,
they would not know 'til later that they had just
been hacked,
They had a smaller fire and used it as a ploy, we played along with their little game
and charged in, boy oh boy,
It was just a little diversion to keep the gang at bay,
whilst the rest of us helped ourselves
and took the best of the wood away.
The shout came for us to retreat, the gang thought they had won,
but we had the highest once again and it had been so much fun.
It was so tall and big it towered in the sky,
when asked how we did it again
I pointed up and said, "Just ask that big Guy
