The last few months

Butterfly woman
Lemonade & blood stained floors
Sour reunion

Girl full of honey
Wake before the rain of hurt
Rise above sorrow

Nine lives aren’t enough
Many meetings, many lives
Gone, lifted away

A life gone astray
I’ll find you again next life
A new path awaits

Artichoke broker
Love acts like a throat choker
Going for the heart

What is love to you
Selfless & honor I thought
You thought something else

Higher than I’ve been
Every day is therapy
Breathless getting cold

Now you’ve gone away
Seems out of style to love you
Pull me from the edge

Days bleed into next
At the edge of me and you
Behind walls of pain

Many bridges burned
A whisper remains
A purpose for pain

You’re a hideaway
Drowning in my exiled state
Baptized by her fire

You can shackle you
It’s so hungry in the dark
It’s some cruel penance
