Being

poem by: Michael Wise
Written on Feb 10, 2023

The circling silhouettes of birds as they fly
while purples and yellows color the sky
as I drink in all of this beauty I'm seeing
I am one with the Earth in the joy of just being

Everything's magic right now in this place
as a cool light breeze dances 'cross my face
and it sings through the trees, calling to me
delighting my soul that longs to be free

And soon shall the night don her velvet gown
of sequined ebony, shimmering down
With the last ray of daylight finally fleeing
I'm at one with creation, at peace in just being

Thank u sir! I was on my front porch two evenings before, enjoying the sunset, and this came to me. Everything in this poem was what I saw. My best back at you from America!
