A Blade

poem by: Royce B
Written on Mar 30, 2015

Sharpen the blade
to cut away the facade.
Allow the tears in your eyes
To reflect the turmoil inside.
Take the sharp steel
Use it to feel.
Run it across the skin
To mark your sins.
Use the pain to block your pain.
Allow the blood to cover your disdain.
Open your flesh for release,
In a desperate bid for peace.
