Fire and Ice

poem by: Dem Iurgic
Written on May 29, 2015

Fire and Ice, the burn of your mouth
The hard, cold bite of ice heading south
Tears of joy, sense glacial drift
Earth moves in tectonic shift
Body in flames, spirit alight
Annihilation in the depths of night

Fire and ice, Brimstone rains
Lost forever in sweet asphyxiation of pain
Seismic shifts, quakes, tremors
Tsunami's roar, continents shatter
Worlds end, souls destroyed
Minds cast into the void

Too soon, daylight breaks
Alien visions, I cant relate
Still alive, bereft of breath
Nothing !, blind, dumb and deaf
You stir, you awake, I see its you
Sight returned, senses anew

Fire and Ice, will she come again tonight ?
