Perfection no. 1

poem by: Ann Parks
Written on Jun 12, 2015

Lemon chrysanthemums in a jug on my table
like magical tutus in the theatre lights
Little Richard screaming , pleading, playing
with outrageous hair and beautiful soul.

My mystical ring of emerald and diamond
why did nature hide you deep in the ground?
Sweet creamy desserts (of any kind)
so comforting and confirming I'm worthy of treats!

The relief of being heard
yet understood
no matter how roughly
my words descend
The whole of the plant world
the animals, the land ......

Your blue eyes laughing
your deep voice teasing
I'm perfectly happy :
your key turns in the door!
