Now Your Not Here

poem by: Julie Cook
Written on Sep 09, 2015

You laughed. you cried. you hurt, you pained
But through it all, self respect remained
So inspirational, so brave, so smart
All you touched had a piece of your heart

You were the reasoning the listening ear
Always around, always near
Reassurance, kind words, support and love
This you gave us, all the above

We all so miss the things you would say
Your smile, your hugs, your funny old way
We have our sweet memories deep in our heart
And the pain we encounter where do I start

I might seem selfish, but wish you were here
We miss you so much we all shed a tear
Life is so cruel, so harsh and not fair
I miss you mam now your not here
