Table for One

poem by: Chloe Lyons
Written on May 10, 2016

I'm tired of sitting alone
but you can't pay attention long enough to know
 I'm hurting
You're caught up in gossip and drama
I'm used only when I'm needed and then put back in your pocket for later
I'm not a doll, I'm not a toy
So please stop only using me for joy
I used to have lots of friends
I threw them away
or maybe I just don't care
It doesn't matter though
I'm hurt, I'm sad
And I'm sitting alone
