My Heaven

poem by: Stephen Westerland
Written on Jul 12, 2016

Watching your hair sway in the breeze
It settles my nerves it put me at ease
Hearing your voice is like a beautiful song
When I look in your eyes you can do no wrong
The touch of your hand the smile on your face
It takes me away to that special place
When I smell your perfume I know you are near
When you’re feeling down I shed a lonely tear
When you are smiling the sun shines so bright
And when you are lonely look up in the night
Just look to the stars you will find me there
To comfort and guide you let you know that I care
For you are my sunshine my start and my end
I cherish every moment with you I get to spend
I loved you the very first day that we met
And all we’ve been through there is no regret
A love that withstands future present and past
With the power to stand firm and forever last
