TO FIGHT

poem by: Tony Anderson
Written on Aug 01, 2016

To fight to be free
To fight to be strong
To stand against oppression
To stand firm until the battle’s won

To let Satan know we will not back down
We are God’s people we will throw him to the ground
To stand and fight another day
To let them know we will not play

To be free, the mighty goal
To not back down
No matter what they throw at us
No matter how hard they try
We will stand against the foe
If needed, until we die

We fight to be alive and free
To defeat Satan who oppresses me

To let Satan and his kind win would be a disgrace
So I must fight to win my place
Among those who have gone before
So I may see haven’s door

To fight the fight and be free
To live a life of security
