Raining

poem by: Stephen Westerland
Written on Aug 07, 2016

Raining and thunder,
Trees falling down
So much devastation,
With water all around
Umbrellas ruined
Turned inside out
Wind blowing strong
As people scurry about
Long johns and jumpers
But rain still gets through
	Not even feet
Protected by a shoe
But in all of this misery
Is a shimmer of light
To have a friend like you
To make every day so bright

Lovely poem. I like the way your words rhyme On every other line. I need to develop that style. I find I need to work on that.
