The nuece

poem by: Alli Steward

Crying herself to sleep
Nothing better to do than weep
everyone knows she feels this way
Thats why they say what they say
They want her gone
Out of their lives
about instead she stays home and hides
"Shes changing too much
she looks Chinese"
When he says this she falls to her knees
She pops the pills,
Carves "Nobody would help me" Way down deep
Then hoping she wont wake up-
Falls into a deep deep sleep

The next day at 6 am
Hoping she will fall asleep again
She grabs her pen
and her paper
Decides to write down what they shall find later
Then she grabs the rope
Makes a neuce
Makes sure that neuce isnt too loose
stands on a bucket in her closet
ties the neuce around her neck with tears in her eyes-
this little girls ready to say her goodbyes
But then little cori ann walks in
"Sissy i cant sleep"
So she gets off the bucket smiling oh-so-meek
She unties the neuce and hides it again
Jumps on her bed
-And lays next to her bestfriend once again
*The neuce can wait another day*
