Ignite Your Soul

poem by: KayleighMarie Fitzgerald
Written on Sep 29, 2013

I hope that one day I can smile
But Jesus, that could take a while
This all seems too real
I'm not made of steel
I'm searching for a means to survival

Im struggling to stay in control
I cant keep in touch with my soul
I cant seem to find peace
In just being me
Where my heart was, there now is a whole.

To drag yourself up off the floor
And blindly throw open that door
You've got to be brave
Or you'll just be a slave
To the deamons that haunted before

So to conquer the ghosts of your past
Find passion inside that will last
Throw wood on your fire
To make it burn brighter
And shatter your nightmares like glass

KayleighMarie, I like the way you told of your burdens, then came up with your own solution in the ending,{positive solution} I like that sort of poem, to me that gives the poem strength and wisdom.
