Never

poem by: John Carson
Written on Dec 25, 2016

Twisting in the wind
Tattered
And torn
Begging to be free
Of the pain
The fear
The doubts
As life swirls around me
Tearing at my soul.
Evil follows me
Hiding in the shadows
Waiting to devour me
As I hurry along
Ever one step ahead
Careful not to stumble
Lest I be caught
And swallowed by the beast
Never a moment to rest
Never
