Peace on earth, Goodwill to all men. That's what the Good Book says. But men fight and kill, Then mourn, For the families, they will never see again. Refugees travelling to who knows where, Too weak from hunger and thirst to care. Innocent people, through no fault of their own, Have lost everything, now all they can do ls roam. People in pain and grief and fear, Some too weak to shed even a tear. Too shocked to think straight, Trying to get away from the terror, Trying to escape the hate. A country divided, friends fighting friends, Why do they do lt? Where will it all end? Why are there wars? Why can't there be peace? Life is too short, Let all fighting cease. Turn to the Lord, Each one of you, You will find, He'll help you get through, The problems of each passing day. When you feel like warring, instead, why not pray?
