Where I Belong

poem by: Freesa Khan

Be it a far greater pain to lie in the fiery pits of hell, knowing that your anger for me is why therein I dwell. May my bones turn to ashes and my tears burn up and dry, if only you stay with me because you are my life. I've wronged you, hurt you, put you through pain, I regret my decisions but they remain as a stain. Wash them, dry them, rinse and repeat, clean all the filth so I can be complete. Once I'm forgiven, turn away from the wrong, I only need your approval to know where I belong.
