Christmas Time

Christmas Time

Dad now that you have gone, went away you not being here
Christmas approaching, celebrations and lots of family cheer
Days are leading to months are flashing too quickly for me
This year will be so different, what it has turned out to be

Sending my christmas card, saying with all my love to mum
My heart is aching your name isn't on it, my head is numb
Whilst gift wrapping all the presents for everyone to share
Thinking there should really be one from me to you there

The grand kids are asking us but "where will our papa be?"
Up in heaven sitting eating his chicken and potatoes like me
Does that mean mummy that my papa is never coming back
It means he'll not see santa's reindeers or even his sack

Love Caroline
