Rainbow

poem by: Paris Marceau
Written on Mar 11, 2017

From high to low,
The colours glow.
Never ending explosion,
Of coloured emotion.

Far from a distance,
The rainbow glistens.
Far at the other end,
Another person listens.

Is anyone there?
Surrounded by blooming flowers
And breathing in deeply the fresh air.

Illusion of perfect sarenity,
Complete bliss and the feeling of being happy.
That was the rainbow of course, which is straight ahead of me.

I must run to it
Stand under neath it and let the colours shine on me.
Oh how wonderful that would be.

It started to fade as time ticked,
I felt my heart sink,
I knew that was it.
I was tricked.

The whole time the rainbow was there,
I was dazed.
It felt like only 5seconds,
Not 10 minutes I swear!

Oh if only I could see a rainbow again,
It will be my saving grace.
