child in you

poem by: Theresa Taylor
Written on Mar 22, 2017

a child needs comfort inside of you
don't hide in the darkness with your mistakes
squirriling away and holding onto the ache
Just show me what's broken
Let's explore those pieces together
I'll show you that the cracks are what make you beautiful
And those scars are the tape to make you whole
So come out from your corner and talk with me a while
I'll make the child in you smile
