A new day

poem by: Ellen Early
Written on Jun 27, 2017

Life is too short
To look to the past
With all its regret and sorrow
Our minds should be fixed
On today's happiness
And in the hopes of our tomorrow

What's done is done
We can't go back
So many mistakes
I would retract

The problem is
With all the wrong
There's that which is right

The laughter, the fun, the.
Good times remembered
Is what fuels my light

Sometimes your loss
Will be your gain
But you only learn that
Through your pain

Your set apart
But don't lose heart
Your journey isn't through

Every day you wake
Every step you take
A new day waits for you

A lot of truth in these words, the mistakes we made in the past cannot be undone but, we can learn from them...good one Ellen.
