Love lost

Love I had and then I lost

We have walked together hand in hand
Hearts full of trust in loves demand.
We built our future on empty ground
Brick by brick was strengthened in love we found.

Soon love had built us a tower
Strengthened only by our inner hearts power.
Two hearts became whole, In each we became one.
In the journey of love, we'd only just begun.

Together our paths stepped
Into a territory unknown.
A flourishing bond
That just kept on growing.

Nothing could stop the love
That between us we shared.
Two hearts beating as one
In two lives that we were now paired.

I will forever treasure
This love that in life's rarely known.
And til in death should we sadly depart
In eternal heavenly winds forever be blown.
