The End

poem by: Julius Brian Cruz

In the end of it all... I still chose you.
Writing stories in encore, under the evening blue.
Though backs are turned, though friendships are through.
The heroine of my world, She..... She never had a clue.

That I chose her..... over the glimmer and gold.
The brighter days, the fortunes I am foretold.
Her star like eyes, her hands that I want to hold.
Darling let’s lock our fingers, and make stories that’s never been told.

Only if you turn around, and see me waiting all this time.
Leaving a trace of words, intentions hidden in rhyme.
Only if you love me still, and say you’ll always be mine.
Then this word called “Love”, together let’s try to define.

Cause in the end of it all, I will still choose you.
Again by the endless night sky, below the beautiful evening blue.
Writing poetries in encore, a habit that I will never get through.
Darling as long as I live, as long as this heart is beating for you....
