Be Silent

poem by: James Farley
Written on Mar 24, 2018

If I could see as you see,
If I could hear as you hear,
I would be silent.

If I could think your thoughts,
If I could feel your emotions,
I would be silent.

I should be silent,
That I might perceive of you,
That I might understand in you.

I should be silent,
That I might empathize for you,
That I might gain wisdom from you.
