When that final moment comes

When that final moment comes

When that final moment comes
And I leave this blessed shell
I don’t know where I’m heading for
There’s no one that can tell
You can speak of Heaven, speak of Hell
Or a hole, there in the ground
But I have no idea at all
As to where I will be bound.

I’ve read a lot of books and stuff
I’ve heard so many speak
But still the truth that they espouse
To me is kind of weak
I have delved so deep within me
And I’ve felt a feeling there
But maybe this is false as well
So this I will not share.

But I know one thing, that’s all
Death is a certainty
And when it comes on me to call
Won’t let it bring to me
Fear, or deep anxiety
For death, and life must be
So everything can keep on turning
Until eternity.
