Heart and Soul

poem by: Chel Scott
Written on Aug 16, 2018

My soul was mine, and mine alone,
and I wanted it to stay that way,
my heart was once a no-go zone,
and then they both began to stray,

The night upon which we met,
was when my soul began to seek,
it's one I know I'll never regret,
because to your soul, mine did speak.

And then forever, my heart had gone,
not a single word of goodbye,
now my heart and soul sing a love song,
inside you now, they both abide.
