On The Rocks

poem by: Chel Scott
Written on Aug 16, 2018

I try to read it's glacier depths,
as it sits there in my drink,
I swirl the liquid round,
not quite knowing what to think.
Trying to find my answers there,
I look deep into the icy haze,
everything around me fades away,
I get lost in a million ways.
Not a single answer have I found,
and now my ice has begun to shrink,
I guess I'll have to leave my questions,
until I get another drink.
