Poetry

poem by: Chel Scott

Poetry for most, is an escape,
an escape from reality.
Reality consists of pain, misunderstanding,
misunderstanding causes confusion.
Confusion triggers escapism,
in escaping our confusions, we write.
Write about things meaningful, beautiful,
beauty is easy to understand.
Understanding reality is complicated,
complication causes us to be ignorant.
Ignorance triggers failure,
failing in all other aspects of life,
is why we write poetry.
Poetry for most, is an escape,
an escape from reality.
