Another November

poem by: R.T. Aquinas
Written on Nov 11, 2018

Another November is here once more
And once again we remember our wars.
Those who fought and those who died
And for all time into battle they ride.

They fought in "The War to End All War",
Did they believe that? Whatever for?
One hundred years later and it's all just getting worse.
Was it really worth it, facing what's adverse?

Thankful nonetheless I be,
Oh! Thank you, Men, that we are free.
Thank you. You gave your life for me
And thank you, you saved my family.

Now is not a battle of war,
But a new fight is at our door.
