Denial

poem by: Theresa Taylor
Written on Dec 17, 2018

When you're up at night
Pacing through the fields of your mind in hindsight
I hope you stumble into my memory
tangled in the undergrowth
You'll pull aside the weeds of denial and immaturity
But you won't find a corpse
You'll find I am still a rose
