Facade

poem by: Rhys Thomas
Written on Feb 28, 2020

"He's happy, leave him be."
"But don't you think we should see
How he's doing on this day?"
"I just told you: Happy is what he'll say."

It's not too hard
To hide in facade
But once it's cracked,
It breaks into shards.

I say I'm alright
But I hide my fight
Away from those
I am closest to.

I tell you I'm fine
But that's where I lied
And these feelings of mine
Get all mixed up inside!

Many people hide their sadness behind a mask......but don't let sadness consume you.....release it through poetry.....it's so therapeutic....

Thanks Frank. Poetry really is quite therapeutic, I'll agree to that.
