Somewhere Else

poem by: Rhys Thomas
Written on Feb 28, 2020

I think I might be somewhere else
For certainly I'm not always here
I just have to ask myself
Why is it not more clear?

I wish I was somewhere else
At least then I would know where
But then, it must be said,
That I probably wouldn't care.

Often my mind gets lost
And my thoughts away are tossed
And about me I hear voices talking
Even though alone I am walking

I wish I were somewhere else
Then maybe I'd understand
I wish I were somewhere
With someone to hold my hand
