Nice day for a Lockdown

poem by: Rhys Thomas
Written on Apr 14, 2020

It's such a sunny day
It rained forever but not any more
It's been like this since we were told to stay away.
Ever since we were told to stay indoors

I sit in the garden for the first time this year
As I pen the words you're reading here.
The Sun shines down on me
While I sit here and drink my tea.

The sky is a field of blue and the Sun is rather bright
I look up to see there's not a cloud in sight.
