At five years of age, Terri was no longer a stranger to abuse. She and her sister endured their daily dose of mental, emotional and physical abuse. The metaphor that “God takes care of fools and babies†plays host throughout the journey in this dramatic true story. Abuse is a triple-edged sword often weakening, strengthening, or rendering people as “damaged goods,†depending on the frailty of the mind and spirit. The saving grace is, however, that the mind and spirit possess secrets of their own.
In Eyes of the Soul, readers can follow Terri’s journey as she yearns to be ‘loved’ only to find herself sucked into the embodiment of hatred, deceit, depression and self destruction throughout her childhood and into her adult life. This story will cause them to question the frailty of the human spirit—just how much can the human spirit endure? About the Author
Zelda T. Partee, a native of Baltimore, resides in Baltimore County. Aside from her 26-year career in nursing, she is a devoted mother and grandmother and holds several Ministries in her church home. The author has published in multiple editions of the Library of Poetry Anthology Series and has been recognized for Outstanding Achievement in Poetry with the Editor’s Choice Award from 1997 through 2007. In addition, Zelda is published on CD with a choice selection of Poetry Entitled “The Sound of Poetry†She published her first book of poetry in 2009 entitled “Soul Searchingâ€, a testimony of her life experiences and Spiritual growth.
