                      Chapter 1: The Tour / Golden China Girl

        One cold and foggy day in San Francisco, four kids jumped out of a school bus onto a hard gravel parking lot. There was a huge building in front of them made of gray stone walls with barbed wire above the walls. It was a very gloomy and creepy place, probably because it was an insane asylum. The four kid's names were  Jade, Simon, David, and Ginny. Jade was 18 years old.
       Simon was 17, David 14, and Ginny was 9 years old. The one thing these four had in common was that they had never met each other before now, and this was their first time at an Insane Asylum. They all went to a large private boarding school and were in the TC program, a Travel Club, where they go on many interesting field trips such as scuba diving and prisons and other interesting locations.
        Today they were going to the insane asylum for a tour. They had never seen a place so big and gloomy. The doors of the asylum opened, and they saw a tall thin woman with wavy red hair walking towards them with a big smile on her face. Simon whispered to David, ¨Ooo la la, Hottie with a body headed our way,!" When Jade heard that, she snapped her head around and glared at them and said ¨Grow up, morons!!!’’
      The tour guide walked up and said in a very cheerful tone, ¨ Hi there kids. My name is Mrs. Simpson, and I will be your tour guide today. I must warn you that some of what you will see in this asylum will probably scare you. I understand if you do not want to enter the hall where all the patients are being held. If you do not wish to continue please tell me now, otherwise follow me.’’
     The four kids looked at each other and all nodded and followed Mrs. Simpson into the building where they saw a woman with tangled brown hair that kind of reminded them of a bird's nest. She was quickly typing away on her computer and had a large stack of papers beside her.
They turned and walked down a hallway and passed some bathrooms and a kitchen with the smell of chicken coming the through the cracks in the old stone walls.
They finally turned a corner and saw a tall security guard standing in front of a metal door with a slot to put an ID card in.
When the security guard saw them, he swiped his card and opened the door. Mrs. Simpson stopped a foot in front of the door and said, "Come along kids." They all stepped through the door and saw a long hallway with rooms at either side. The floor, ceilings and walls were all stone and creepy looking. As they walked down the hallways, Mrs. Simpson told them about the patients.
She told them that the cases got more and more extreme as they got down the hall. The lightest cases were the people who got whipped when they were younger or had watched their parents die, or they had a head injury or had really bad brain problems.
          The cases that were more extreme were the ones who had killed someone or had big anger problems or were really suicidal. When they finally got to the very end of the hall they saw the cells of the two most extreme cases.
The one on the left side was a man in his late twenties who was rocking back and forth and muttering to himself about killing his mother. On the right, there was a little girl with long golden wavy hair and pale blue eyes that looked like they were filled with sadness.
She had a long curved scar across her cheek that looked like she had cut it really deep and tried to sew it back up. Her skin looked almost as if it was made of china, and her dress was light blue and had holes in it . Mrs. Simpson told the kids that her name was Lucy but everyone called her Golden China Girl. She said that Golden China Girl had to watch her parents die in front of her.
When she was two years old and that she had crawled away from her house. A nun had found her on the side of the road and the church took her in. But by the time she was three, they gave her to the asylum because they thought she was the devil’s child because she would always give these scary predictions that would normally come true, and she had a very wild and troubled imagination and always talked to herself.
   Mrs. Simpson also told them of a legend about how if you touch her hair you will be sucked into her mind where there are many worlds with very harsh living conditions such as windy deserts, dangerous forests, raging oceans, wild animals, horrible storms, and so on.   Mrs. Simpson then said, "But don’t worry kids - it’s a legend, nothing more, just a story. There is no reason to believe in such silliness." But then Golden China Girl looked up and said in a creepy but sweet voice, "There are some stories you should believe and others you shouldn’t, but you get to choose if you believe them or not."
   Mrs. Simpson shook her head and said' "Never mind her. She has been well behaved the past month so you guys can go in and visit her if you want, she won’t bite." Mrs. Simpson turned around and walked down a few cells and started talking to one of the patients. The four kids walked into the cell and sat down and tried for a few minutes to ask her questions but after a minute they realized it was pointless - she would never respond. After a few minutes, Simon spoke up and said, "I have an idea. We should all touch her hair just to prove the legend wrong. I mean it’s just a scary story, there's no way it could be true… Who’s with me?" The rest of the kids looked at each other and then they all said ‘OK’ at the same time. Simon counted to three, "1….2….3!"
    As they all put their hands on her hair, they felt a gust of wind pulling them inside her head. They were falling down a colorful tunnel tornado-type thing.
     They all screamed in terror when they heard Golden China Girl’s voice booming all around them,"You should have believed the legend! Now you will never make it out of my mind. You will die and never get to see your precious families again, just like I don’t get to see mine!" And then she laughed the most creepiest laugh you ever heard. The four kids kept falling and falling for what seemed like forever.


                  Chapter 2: Into The Woods, Into Her Mind
When they finally fell out of the colorful tornado on to the wet dark green grass, they stared at the world all around them. There were hills covered in pine trees as far and farther than the eye could see. There were dark black and purple storming clouds above them covering the sky. If you looked carefully, you could see a faint yellow sunset peeking out of behind the hills.
       Once the kids were able to take in everything they all turned on Simon and glared at him angrily. And then Jade started to yell at Simon saying, "THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT !!! IF YOU HADN’T SUGGESTED THAT WE TOUCH HER HAIR, WE WOULD HAVE NEVER BE STUCK IN HER HORRIBLE MIND!!!"
        She was incredibly mad at Simon and was clenching her fists as if she could punch a skyscraper to the ground in one punch. Simon just stood there folding his arms across his chest and said in a half sarcastic, half nervous tone, "Jeez, woman, I’m sorry, OK? I didn’t think anything would happen!!! It was just a legend. Legends are normally not true. How was I supposed to know???" Jade was so angry she started to pace back and forth.
You could almost see steam coming out of her ears, and then she started yelling at him again saying, "SORRY WILL NEVER CUT IT! AND, IT IS NOT OK THAT WE ARE TRAPPED IN THIS WORLD! WHO KNOWS WHAT IS HERE OR WHAT ISN’T?WHAT IF THERE IS NO FOOD OR WATER? ALSO,IF WE DON’T GET OUT OF HERE, WE WILL NEVER SEE ANY OF OUR FRIENDS OR FAMILY AGAIN!" Then, she walked towards Simon and slapped him so hard across the face, there was a dark red hand print on his face.
He leaned over panting and wailing and crying out in pain and kept trying to wipe the tears from his eyes. Jade just walked a few feet away and paced back and forth and started to mutter to herself saying, "What are we going to do? What are we going to do?"
They felt a cold icy breeze come running through the forest, and they could see the trees on the hills start to look like dark green water in the wind. David tried making a fire with some sticks and rocks that he found near a tree while Ginny was looking at the bushes and underneath the trees trying to find something to eat.Simon was sitting on a log holding his face in one hand fiddling with a stick in the other. Jade was helping Ginny find food and also trying to find some water.
   A few minutes late, Ginny ran over to Simon and said in a silly teasing voice, "What are you doing, Simon? Aren’t you supposed to be helping around here? Do you want me to tell Jade you don’t want to be hit again, do you?".
Simon had a smug look on his face and said, "You really think you scare me, little girl? I am eight years older than you, and I am on a football team. I wouldn’t want to get in my way if I were you.¨ Ginny had a smirk on her face. "I am not scared of you! I know Jade and David will protect me if necessary.¨
Ginny skipped over to Jade and started to complain to Jade in a sweet but mischievous tone. Ginny said, "Simon is doing nothing. He is just sitting there on a log and doing nothing, and he threatened to hurt me! I’m scared, Jade! Please help me!!!"
   After hearing that, Jade said in a sweet voice, "I will deal with this honey, you’ll see."


              Chapter 3: New World , New Rules
David finally started an OK fire. Jade stomped over to Simon, grabbed the stick out of his hand, threw it out into the woods, and grabbing his arm, she dragged him wailing and yelling and shoved him onto a log. Simon angrily sat there and started to yell at her saying, ¨ What the heck, Jade, what was that for?¨ Jade interrupted him and said, ¨ Shut up sit down and listen to me, NOW!¨
  ¨ We are not on earth anymore. We are in some strange world in Golden China Girl’s messed up mind. That means there are no laws or rules here so far, but now there will be. I am the oldest! Therefore, I’m in charge! And don’t even try to complain, Simon.¨
¨Everyone will have jobs and responsibilities. We will not use violence if I do not think it is appropriate, and you will do as I say. And if, not there may be punishments.¨
       Ginny raised her hand and smiled a sweet smile. Jade looked over and said, ¨What is it, honey?”. Ginny put down her hand and said, "What are jobs and responsibilities? And are we going to have any food or water? Are we going to have a place to sleep?¨
    Jade had a small smile on her face that hinted that maybe she wasn’t as tough as she was trying to look. ¨I don’t know if there is any food or water. Even if there is, how do we know it’s edible? Also, I do have jobs for each of you and myself. David, you will go out into the woods and look for food and water. Also, look to see if you can find any abandoned caves or abandoned shack or something. Simon and I will be making a shelter here just in case David doesn’t find anything. Oh, and David, try to be back in 45 minutes or so. Ginny you can look for food as long as I can see you. Also, try to find some sharp rocks we can use as weapons to hunt and defend ourselves with, and look for long staff like sticks we can use as spears.¨
    David walked out into the dark and mysterious woods. It was very dark and damp. David was lucky that he could see at all. The trees were spooky looking in the darkness. They hung down like limp bodies. They looked like sad creatures leaning over. The wind was blowing through the trees, and it was getting colder by the minute. As he walked through the cold wet woods, he found a few velvety wet mushrooms. He also found some round soft juicy berries, but he didn’t know if they were edible or not. He held onto them though so at least when he got back they could check them.
     He continued walking and turned left. He started to walk up what he thought to be a hill seeing as it was steep. When he had walked for about 20 minutes up the hill, he found a small cave that overlooked the forest. The cave was dark and smelled wet which meant there was water. He felt the cold rough walls and looked around the cave and made sure no one was living in it already. Then he realized he had been away from camp for a little over an hour so he started to walk quickly back towards camp.
    Back at the camp, Ginny was sitting by the fire. The fire was fading in the wind, and Ginny looked a little cold. She had big thin sticks beside her and a few short vines and some short sharp rocks. She was sharpening one of the rocks into a point. When she finished, she grabbed one stick and a vine and started to tie the rock onto the stick to make a spear. She then put it in a small stack of spears she had already made on her right.
    Simon and Jade had made a hut-type structure using some long logs they had found. They made 3 eight foot walls and had made a roof. There were a lot of holes in the walls so they took some moss and mud using them to patch up the holes. The shack really looked pretty bad and tattered but it would have to do. Simon looked for long blanks of wood for a door or maybe some vines as a curtain while Jade looked for some food under and in the trees.
     When David arrived back at camp, Ginny ran up to him and hugged him and said in a happy but worried voice,¨ I thought you might have gotten lost. I thought I might never see you again!¨ David laughed and hugged Ginny and said in a comforting voice, ¨ I’m fine. I see you have been hard at work with all those spears, and the shelter is coming together.
         I found a few berries and mushrooms but I’m not sure they're edible. I also found a small cave about a 30 minutes from here, but I think it’s best for us to stay here tonight. It’s very late and dark and Simon just got back with something to make a door. I'm going to go help him with it. Keep up the good work, Ginny.¨
      David walked over to Simon. Simon’s face was still red, and he had sweat pouring down his face. When David asked if he could help, Simon answered in a exhausted but tough tone, ¨Why would I need your help? You're just a kid!" David just smiled and said, ¨Well, first off, I'm fourteen, and you look like you are going to collapse at any moment. And that door will crush you. You know, we are all in this strange Mind World place, and we need to be able to get along and work together.¨
     Simon groaned and said, ¨ I guess you are right, kid. Come and grab the back of this.¨ David shook his head and said, ¨Okay, but call me David, not kid!¨ David picked up the back but it took some effort seeing as it was heavy. David was wondering how they would be able to open and close the door with it being this heavy.
He groaned and said, ¨You know, Simon, I really think we need to find a different door because this is way too heavy. You don’t want to make it so we are all trapped inside, do you?¨
        Simon said in a angry voice, ¨Drop the door on the count of three. There is something else we can use close by. 1...2....3." They both dropped the door, and David followed Simon. When they found the other door, they picked it up and brought it back to camp.  Ginny was putting the spears in the shack, and Jade was sorting the mushrooms into edible and nonedible. Jade and Ginny had taken a survival class separately and learned about which berries and mushrooms and leaves, flowers, nuts, etc. were edible.
         When they saw the boys coming back with the door, Jade set down the berries she had been holding and walked over to help set up the door. She threw the non-edible food in the fire and gave everyone an equal amount of good berries and mushrooms. Then Jade said that it was time for bed. "It’s very late," she said."We will have to use our jackets or moss as blankets and wear your hats if you have one.¨
  The four kids went into the shack and settled down. Ginny asked for a song. Jade said OK and sang her a song. When Jade finished singing, everyone else was asleep, and she laid down and fell asleep wondering what this world had in store for them and if they would ever make it out.


         Chapter 4: Finding Breakfast


The next morning the purple and black clouds were gone and were replaced with wet dense fog. Simon was the first one to wake up. He wiped his eyes with one hand, and he felt around feeling something wet and furry. He screamed a loud scream which, of course, woke up everyone else. They were wiping their eyes tiredly and asking Simon what was going on. Simon was pointing towards the makeshift door and said, ¨There was something in here. It was wet and furry. It scared me. I have no idea what it is!¨
   David said, ¨ I bet it’s nothing. I'll go and check.¨ When David got outside, he started to laugh really hard. He walked back in and said while still laughing, ¨Simon, it’s just a squirrel, you big baby. God, you are almost 18, and you are scared of a chipmunk. How are you going to survive this world if you scream about a chipmunk?"
Everyone but Simon of course was now laughing, and David was shaking his head.Once everyone had finished laughing, Jade stood up and said,¨OK, everyone, we will need to find some sort of breakfast. Ginny, I want you to show Simon how to identify which berries and mushrooms are safe since he can’t seem to handle simple things like a squirrel.
David, you and me will go and try to hunt if there any animals around here. I know none of us have hunted before, but it’s time we learn."
   Simon groaned and got up. He and Ginny left the hut and walked over to some nearby bushes. Ginny picked four big juicy berries. Two of them were a dark, almost purple blue, and two of them were red. Ginny said two of these are safe, the other two are not. Which ones do you think are safe?.¨
  Simon said, "Well, at first I thought the red ones would not be safe, but now that you ask, I think the blue ones are not safe. So, I say the red ones are safe."
Ginny smiled and said, ¨OK then, try one. See which one is safe and which one isn’t. After all, aren’t you all about taking risks. I mean you choose to touch Golden China Girl’s hair and you like a challenge. SO choose!¨
       Simon nervously put the red one to his lips and took a small bite and immediately spit it out. He started trying to wipe the juice off his tongue and started to yell in a panic, ¨AM I GOING TO DIE ? AM I GOING TO DIE? OH, NO! I’M NOT EVEN GOING TO BE ABLE TO BE ADULT!!!!”.Ginny started to giggle, and she said, ¨Calm down, you big baby! You will just have a bad taste in your mouth for awhile.¨
Simon calmed down a little and said, ¨OK, blue good, red bad. What about the mushrooms? I see that there are orange, white, and black ones. Which ones are safe?¨She smiled and said, ¨The white ones are fine, the black ones are okay only if cooked, and the orange ones are deadly.¨
  He took a deep breath and said, ¨OK.” That's good to know.¨ Back in the woods, Jade and David crept through the forest where they were looking for animals. As they walked along, they saw a jackrabbit nearby. David crept behind it. He almost stepped on a twig but managed to step back quietly. Then he looked at Jade, and she nodded and mouthed, ¨ 1...2...3 " David quickly stabbed the jack rabbit, and it quickly died and went limp.
  Jade noticed that David had a sadness lurking in his eyes. She walked up to him and put her hand on his shoulder and said, ¨What’s wrong, David?.¨
   He looked at her with a look of regret and frustration and said, ¨ I just wish we didn’t have to kill to eat … I don’t mind eating meat at home or at a restaurant. But it’s not the same if I’m the one killing or watching it die… I just feel bad...¨.
  Jade sighed and said ¨ I know. I feel bad too, but we have to survive so we’ve gotta do what we gotta do¨. Jade picked up the rabbit, and she and David walked back through the woods and into camp. Ginny had crushed some berries into a mush like jam and had some edible leaves which she had put the mush jam on and had made two for everyone.
Jade walked up to Simon and Ginny and said, ¨ Honey, that looks great! Did Simon help you or sit on his butt and be lazy?¨ She smiled and said, ¨ Thanks. Simon was being a good big baby for once."
They both laughed, and Jade grabbed one of the sharp knife-like rocks and started to sloppily cut open the rabbit and try to find the good parts to eat. She cut the good parts out and put them on a rock so they could cook them.
When Jade finished, she threw the meat on a flat thin rock and held it over the fire to cook it. After 15 minutes or so, it sorta cooked, and she put 2 pieces on each pieces of rock and gave it to each kid with the leaf berry toast for breakfast.
   The meat was a little raw but it was OK. It tasted a little weird, but it was sorta good. It was juicy and red. When they finished eating, they packed all the weapons and food in there pockets and got ready to take the hike to the cave.


Chapter 5: Hiking to the cave


David took the lead and lead them in the direction he remembered he went the night before. At least he thought he had gone that way the night before. The sun was blazing down on them and everyone was sweating like mad and they all hated it.
      The forest smelled like Christmas trees and the tree’s pine needles were a dark emerald green. As they walked through the woods they noticed small animals in the trees and bushes all around them. When they had been walking for about 20 minutes. They turned and started to walk up a steep hill. They were all miserable the sun was way too hot and all of them were getting sunburns.
    The hill was full of dead grass and pine cones. Around five minutes later they could see the cave a little ways ahead of them. David pointed towards and said ¨ there it is our new shelter .¨
    They continued walking up the hill for five minutes or so and they arrived at the front of the cave. If you stood at the front of the cave you could see the forest for miles and miles. There was a rock the hanged over the edge of the hill that you could sit on and see everything.
   Simon and David went into the caved and looked around. While Jade checked Ginny for sunburns and tried to see if the sunburns were really bad or if the weren’t that bad. Simon found three small ledges in the walls of the cave that could be used as beds. But there were four of them and three ledges , but he figured Ginny could sleep with Jade. The cave was a pretty decent size there was enough room for a fire and enough room for Ginny to play around.
      All of a sudden they heard footsteps on the top of the cave , and they all froze something or someone was outside and it definitely was not a rabbit or anything small like that. Jade put a finger to her lips and then she pointed to herself and then pointed outside and then pointed up. Which meant that she was going to go and check to see what was out there.
     Simon shook his head and pointed at himself and then pointed outside then up and then at her. Which meant he wanted to go with her. She just shook her head and put her hand out , which meant stay. And then she walked out of the cave and climbed to the top of the cave. When she saw what was up there she stood there frozen and dazed .

           Chapter 6: Strangers


  Jade saw three people standing right in front of her one looked her age and he was gorgeous. He was very tall and had had curly light brown hair. He had scary but  dreamy eyes , one was grey the other blood red. He was the most dreamy guy she had seen she was head over heals in love with him. Next to him on his left there was a girl about David’s age and to his right there was a another boy around her age .
    The four of them just stared at each other for a few seconds and then tall gorgeous boy said ¨ Hi I’m Damion, this is Ruby and this is Aaron . And you are?¨.
     Jade tried to look casual but tough and said ¨ Hi I'm Jade . I just have one question what are you guys doing here. I thought me and my friends were the only ones in Golden China Girl’s mind.¨
    Damion said ¨ we thought we were the only ones we have been here for three years, we visited her and we thought the legend was fake and we got sucked in here. Is that what happened to you and your friends? Also how many of you are there?.¨
       Jade looked amazed and said ¨ How could have you guys survived in here for three years!!!? and there are for of us there’s Simon he’s 17 but he can be a hand full and then there’s David he’s 14 and he’s pretty responsible and then there is Ginny she is 9 and she is the sweetest little girl you will ever meet .Oh and I’m 18. Oh how old are you guys anyway?.¨
      Damion smiled a big smile and said ¨ I’m 18 and I’m in charge of my group.¨ The boy called Aaron spoke up and said ¨ I’m almost 18 , I will be 18 in two days. ¨ Ruby smiled and said ¨ I’m 14 and I love to climb tree’s.¨
    Jade had a big smile on her face and she was blushing a little and said ¨ Oh it’s very nice to meet you three, what about you come inside and if you want you can join our group. But just so you know I’m in charge of this group . But I guess since Damion you are the same age as me we could both be in charge.¨
   Damion stepped forward and said ¨ that sounds great, I’m glad our group is joining forces there is safety in numbers and we need a place to stay. And it would be nice to have someone to be in charge with me so I don’t have all the presser on my shoulders.¨ ¨ Can we meet the rest of our group?.¨
 Jade nodded and said ¨ come this way. Jade , Damion , Aaron and Ruby climbed down the hard rough rocks. When they got down to the side of the cave Jade said ¨ hold on, stay here I will get them all to sit down and pay attention so I can introduce you guys and set some new rules.¨ Damion and the others nodded and Jade walked inside and Ginny ran up and jumped into her arms and said ¨ I’m so happy you are alright !!! I heard noises and I hoped you were okay I wasn’t sure you were okay. I’m so happy you are okay . I don’t know what I would do without you.¨
 Jade laughed and said ¨ I’m fine Ginny I just made some new friends that’s all. Can all of you please sit down we are going to have a group meeting . Okay?.¨ Simon and David sat down on to rocks that were sitting on the floor of the cave and Ginny sat on a smaller rock next to David.
   Once everyone was silent Jade said ¨ We have some new members of our group there is Damion he is 18 and will also be in charge since we are both in charge, also there is Aaron he is 17 but he will be 18 in two days. There is also Ruby she is 14 and apparently loves to climb tree’s.¨
 ¨ Also they have been in this world for three whole years.¨ Jade turned around and said ¨come on in guys¨. Damion, Aaron and Ruby walked inside the cave and David’s mouth nearly dropped open. Ruby looked like a goddess to David. Ruby had long dark red wavy hair that sparkled in the sun. She was tall thin and had these heavenly dark brown eyes and thin luscious lips. Jade said ¨ This is Damion¨ pointing at Damion . ¨ this is Ruby¨ pointing at her and then she said ¨ and this is Aaron.¨
     Simon looked at Damion and Aaron and he could tell that he would not like Damion and he didn’t know about Aaron. Jade looked around and said ¨ we will need to find out where everyone will sleep because there is seven of us and three ledges for people to sleep in¨. Everyone looked around and finally Jade said ¨ what about everyone come up with sleeping arrangements and we can all share them and me and Damion will talk and make a decision about the arrangements.¨
   Simon slowly raised his hand and Jade said ¨ do you have a idea Simon or a complaint? because I don’t want to hear any more complaining from you.¨ Simon scowled and said ¨ I think Ginny and David should sleep in one and you and Ruby in one and me and Aaron in the other and Damion could sleep on the ground¨. Jade shook her head and said ¨ I think that we should find a way for everyone to not have to sleep on the ground and if any slept on the ground it would be you.¨
         Everyone laughed and then Jade said ¨does anyone else have any idea’s?.¨ David, Ruby, Ginny, and Aaron’s hands all shot up. Jade looked at all of them and said ¨ okay David you will go first and then Ruby then Ginny then Aaron.¨
    David smiled and said ¨ well if no one minds sleeping next to the opposite gender. Then I think Ginny and Damion should sleep next to each other and you and Aaron could sleep next to each other and me and Ruby can sleep next to each other and Simon can sleep on the ground .¨ ¨ Okay that’s a idea , what’s your idea Ruby what do you think?.¨ Ruby had a small grin on her face and said ¨ I think that Damion should have one of them ledges to himself and I think Jade should also have one to herself. And I think Ginny and David should share one so David can protect Ginny. I think that we should use the three big blankets in our bags as hammocks for me , Aaron and Simon.¨
        Jade smiled and said ¨ that’s a great idea , but how did you get the blankets?.¨ Ruby said ¨ well before we got sucked in here we knew the legend might be true so we packed some stuff.¨ ¨ That’s really smart Ruby!¨. ¨ Let me and Damion go out side and discuss which idea we think is best .¨
       Jade and Damion walked outside and stood outside and started talking. Jade said ¨ I like Ruby’s idea it sounds fair and reasonable.¨ Damion smiled a small smile and nodded and said ¨ Ruby has always been useful she is really creative and reasonable she’s a good kid and good to have on a team.¨
She nodded and said ¨ yeah, but what will we put the blankets so it will be a hammock?¨. He just shrugged and said ¨ There are big stable branches on the trees we can cut them down with my butterfly knife.¨ Jade looked amazed and said ¨ you have a butterfly knife ? that’s really cool!.¨
   Damion nodded and Jade and Damion walked back inside the cave. Everyone was just milling around, when they saw that they were back they all went back to where they had been sitting and where silent . Damion spoke up and said ¨ we decided to go with Ruby’s idea.¨ Ruby smiled and Simon smirked and said ¨ how are we supposed to make hammocks with just blankets? we would need sticks or something to hold them up.¨
    Jade said ¨ Damion has a butterfly knife that we can use to cut thin but sturdy branches from the trees.¨
¨ Okey dokey then let’s get these hammocks together, what about me and Damion and Aaron and Jade go and cut down some branches¨ Simon said with a small grin. Jade shook her head and said ¨ we need you to stay here and I will need Ruby to come with me and Damion and Aaron to go and cut down the branches. Ok Simon?.¨
   Simon looked a little upset and he sighed and then said ¨fine! whatever and didn’t even want to come anyway.¨ Damion , Jade , Ruby, and Aaron walked outside and walked a little ways down the hill. The sun had disappeared behind some clouds and it was warm but not as hot as it was before.
      They eventually found some trees with good sturdy lower branches. Ruby walked up to the tree and studied it then she turned around and said ¨ I can climb up the tree a little and I can use Damion’s knife and cut some branches and then hand them down to you guys and then once we have gotten 6 branches we can carry them back and set everything up.¨
   Damion looked a little concerned and said ¨ as long as you are really careful you can use my knife . I don’t want it to get damaged , you know how important that knife is to me!.¨ Ruby nodded and Damion handed her the knife she quickly scurried up into the tree she looked like a bird flying from branch to branch as she got up to a good branch in the tree. Damion jumped up there after her he looked like a wolf leaping gracefully into the tree .
      The lower pine needles of the tree were lime green and got dark as they got up the tree. The bark of the tree was rough but there were some smooth parts. Ruby found one branch with smaller branches branching off of it , she cut the smaller ones off and handed them to Damion who handed them to Aaron they wood use them for kindling later.
      Then Ruby started to saw quickly through the branch when she finished she slowly lowered one end down to Damion. The branch was heavy but not too heavy Damion and Ruby gently down to Jade and Aaron . Jade grabbed the branch and slid it slowly through her hands and Aaron grabbed the end she passed to him and the both set the branch down and looked up accepting another branch soon.
After 30 minutes or so they had gotten all six branches. Jade and Ruby picked up three of the logs and Damion and Aaron picked up the other three and Aaron had the smaller branches under one of his arms.
       The boys walked around 10 feet in front of the girls and the boys were silent the walk back . After about five minutes Jade whispered something into Ruby’s ear she said ¨ so do you like any of the guys or think they are cute?¨.
      Ruby smiled and said ¨ I do not really like any of them. I mean I think it’s cute how David keeps trying to get my attention. He blushes pretty much every time I look at him. It’s nice to be wanted but it’s just ...¨. She had a sad look on her face and then said ¨ guys have done some horrible things to me and I always end up getting hurt. So that’s why I don’t really give guys a chance. Unless they can prove to me that they won’t hurt me then I will not give them a chance.¨  
    Jade frowned and then said ¨Oh I’m sorry that sucks guys have hurt me to , but can you keep a secret?.¨ Ruby smiled and said ¨ of course ¨ Jade said ¨ I think I might be in love with Damion, he is so gorgeous and nice and ughhhh he’s just so perfect!!!.¨
         Ruby laughed and said ¨ that’s so sweet that a nice girl likes him , likes him like me he hasn't had the best luck with relationships. He really needs a girl like you in his life. I mean I know we just met today but I think you are a really nice girl and I think you two would be perfect for each other but I don’t know if he likes you. He doesn’t really talk to me about that stuff¨.
      Damion turned his head to look at us and said ¨ what are you two ladies whispering and giggling about.¨ The two girls looked at each other for a second and said ¨ nothing!¨ at the same time. Damion just shook his head and they kept walking until they made it back to the cave. Everyone was eating leftovers from the night before for lunch.
     And Damion , Aaron , Ruby , and Jade set the hammock branches in one pile near the cave wall and the small branches near the fire pit one of the other kids had made when they were gone. Aaron and Damion walked up to Simon and David and Damion said ¨ do you to want to go hunting with us we can show you are favorite hunting spot and if we are lucky we might get a deer.¨
     Simon and David’s eyes lit up and they both said ¨ Yes!¨ at the same time. They grabbed some spears and Damion's knife. And then they both jumped up and they started to walk out of the cave but then Aaron turned around and said ¨ hey Jade just so you know we are going to go hunting, will you girls will be okay while we are gone?.¨ Jade nodded and Ruby said ¨ we will be fine you guys have fun.¨
     All the boys but said ¨ we will ¨ at the same time and then Simon said ¨ um yeah we will, we will see you later Jade and girls. Bye¨. Jade just said ¨ bye¨. The boys bounded out the door like a pack of wolves they ran through the forest, but Simon kept tripping so they had to slow down a little . When they got  to the clearing they sat down behind a big log with their spears and Damion’s butterfly knife.
       They waited for a little bit for any animals that might be walking past them in the clearing. After a few minute David whispered ¨ so do any of you dudes like any of the girls?.¨ They all smiled and Damion, Aaron, and Simon all whispered ¨ Jade¨ at the same time. And then they all angrily looked at each other and then they all said ¨ I liked her first!.¨
     David held back laughter and said ¨ calm down all of you she can pick for herself which one she wants to be with if any of you.¨ Still scowling at each other Damion said ¨ do you like any of them?.¨ David blushed and said ¨ I think i’m in love with Ruby, she’s like a goddess she’s amazing her hair, her voice, her smile, well I love everything about her!.¨
    Damion smiled and said ¨ well the only problem is that she doesn’t really trust guys to not hurt her .Because every guy she has ever been with has either done something horrible to her or hurt her. So it might be hard to get her to trust you and win her over. But if you love her that much it’s worth a try.¨
   David frowned and said ¨ yeah , well I’m a fighter and I will prove myself to her. And you three should try to prove yourselves to Jade she’s one tough cookie from what I’ve seen. Oh there’s a deer!.¨
    They all froze and stared at the deer it was a light brownish gold coat it was the most beautiful deer they had ever seen. Aaron pointed to himself and then pointed at David then pointed behind the deer . Which meant for both of them should sneak behind the deer . Then Damion pointed at himself then Simon then pointed at the deer which meant to sneak up on the deer.
   The plan was to surround the deer and then Aaron,Simon, and David would stab the deer with the spears. Damion would slit the deer’s throat with the butterfly knife.
     They surrounded the deer and they quickly stabbed the deer before it even knew what was going on and Damion slit the deer’s throat and it fell limp and died. The boy’s were glad it didn’t take long for it to die they hated watching anything suffer unless they deserved it.
  Aaron skinned the deer and Simon and Damion gutted the deer and David and Aaron cut the good parts out and put them in Aaron’s backpack. Damion and Aaron had known how to kill,skin,gut, and cut the good parts out because they had been in this world so long they had to teach themselves. And Simon and David had both learned from their dad’s.
     They started walking back to the cave and by that time the sun was setting and it was getting cold and it had started to sprinkle. When they got back to camp Ginny was drawing in the dirt floor of the cave and Jade and Ruby sat on rocks and were talking about the guys . The boys stopped cold and listened to their conversation through the walls of the cave. Ruby was saying ¨I think Simon likes you. I mean how he always is giving you a hard time and the way he smiles when you smile. Don’t you think?.¨
    Jade had a expression that said ewww on her face and then she said in disgust and shock ¨what Simon, eww he’s a jerk and I would never be with him. I don’t think he likes me but even if he did there is no point in him trying to ask me out because I would never say yes.¨
     Simon had tears running down his face and Damion said a little too loudly ¨ sorry dude , that really sucks.¨ Jades face went pale and she ran to the front of the cave and found David , Aaron, and Damion standing there and she saw Simon crying and running off into the woods. Jade was freaked out and said ¨ did you guys hear everything I just said. Oh my god I am so sorry that Simon had to hear that , we have to go and find him!.It’s not safe out there.¨
   Aaron said ¨ well at least he didn’t waste his time flirting and trying to prove himself to you.¨ Damion nodded and the said ¨ we really do need to find him though, it’s getting dark and it will be raining soon.
       What about me and Aaron go and try to find him.¨Jade frowned and said ¨ let me come with I can talk to him and say sorry.¨ Aaron and Damion shook there heads and Damion said ¨it’s nice that you want to say sorry but you are probably the last person he wants to see right now. We will try to hurry and find him. Okay?.¨ Jade nodded and Aaron handed her his backpack with the deer meat inside. And then Damion and Aaron ran and disappeared into the woods.
       David and Jade walked back into the cave and David took the backpack and he took a flat thin piece of rock and set the meat on it. And put it over the small fire they had, had burning. He cooked the deer meat and took the rock plates they used the night before and some extra ones and set the meat on them for everyone for dinner.
    It was now almost black outside and Damion and Aaron were running through the woods looking for Simon finally they reached the clearing where they killed the deer and they saw Simon sitting on the log they sat behind. He was still crying a little and when he saw them he tried but failed to wipe away the tears. He turned away from the angrily. Damion but a hand on Simon’s shoulder and said ¨ I’m really sorry dude!.¨ Aaron also said ¨ yeah man I’m also really really sorry it’s hard to be rejected like that.¨
   Simon stood up and said angrily almost yelling ¨ neither of you are sorry at all . It’s just one less person to worry about fighting over Jade. You both are thanking your lucky stars that you have one less person fighting for her.¨
      Aaron shook his head and said ¨ we are sorry, and if you want me to be honest. I am glad that there is one less person but I hate that it had to happen this way.¨ Damion just nodded and said come on we really need to get back. And Simon she is really sorry about what happen. She says that she wished it hadn’t happened that way and that she really wants you to come back.
     Simon said ¨ I honestly don’t think I can see her right now , but it’s getting really cold and it will rain soon so i guess we have to go back.¨ Aaron nodded and they started walking through the dark wet mushy woods back towards the cave.
    Back at the cave the girls and David are setting up the hammocks for everyone. They had to use rocks to dig small holes for the branches .They tore holes in the blankets and made them into hammocks. They also found three extra blankets which they put one on each of the ledges and they used the backpacks for pillows for the people in the hammocks.
      Ruby settled down in one of the hammocks and it actually wasn’t that bad. Jade was trying to settle on the ledge and used her jacket as a pillow and eventually fell asleep. Ginny got onto one of the edges and used David’s jacket as a pillow and David stayed by the fire to wait for Damion,Aaron, and Simon.
     About 15 minutes after the girls had fell asleep David saw three figures coming towards the cave. He stood up and grabbed three of the rocks with deer meat on them and carried them over to Damion, Aaron and Simon and handed each of them one of the rock plates.
   They all thanked him a and sat near the fire and Simon asked if the girls were all asleep and David said they were. After a few minutes they had all finished David put out the fire. And they all got in or on a hammock or onto a ledge and laid therewith everyone thinking different things.
      David wondering if he would ever be with Ruby. And Damion and Aaron were both thinking about which one if either of them would win Jade’s heart. Simon was thinking about how he would never win Jade’s heart how hurt he was.
   After a while they fell asleep wondering where their love lives would go. And wondering if they would survive this world.


Chapter 7: The Storm


The next morning they awoke to what sounded like boulders falling all over the ground it turned out it was rain and hail pounding down. It was so hard that it would cut feel like someone threw a rocks at you if you went out there. Luckily it didn’t get that much into the cave so at least they wouldn’t get wet. Also they hadn’t had any water for two days so at least they could get some water.
   David started to try to make a fire and Ginny made some leftover berry mush jam. They would need to save as much food as possible it looked like this storm would last a few days. Damion and Aaron were talking quietly in the corner of the cave , Simon was still in one of the hammocks trying to go back to sleep. Jade and Ruby were playing tic-tac toe in the dirt.
    After about 10 minutes David had finished making the fire and Ginny had the jam and edible leaves ready for leaf berry toast. Everyone including Simon gathered around the fire and ate the toast silently. When they finished Ruby suggested they play Truth Or Dare. Everyone agreed to play except for Simon who said he was going back to sleep.
   Simon went back to back to his hammock and curled up and went back to sleep .The rest of them got a little closer to the fire and Ruby said ¨ okay let’s start.¨


Chapter 8: Truth Or Dare/ dangers of the  outside world


        Ruby smiled and said ¨ Aaron, Truth or Dare?.¨ Aaron looked as though he was thinking and then said ¨ Truth! and make it good.¨ She paused for a moment and then said ¨ do you have a crush on anyone here? If so who?.¨Aaron blushed and said ¨ ummmmm….¨ Ruby laughed and said ¨ Come on , spill!.¨
        Aaron said ¨ okay but don’t laugh and I hope this isn’t like what happened with Simon, but I like …. Jade.¨ Ruby looked at Jade and Jade’s face was red and there were tears starting to come down her face. She looked really sorry about something and then she said in a quiet voice ¨ I’m really really sorry Aaron but I don’t feel the same way. I’m so sorry. I really am.¨
    Aaron looked hurt but then he said ¨ at least you are honest… let’s just get on with the game.¨ ¨ Jade Truth or Dare?¨. Jade shrugged and then said ¨ Truth¨. Aaron then asked ¨ do you have a crush on Damion?.¨ Jade blushed and she was looking at the ground. And said in a small almost apologetic tone ¨ yes.¨
        Damion’s face lit up and he had a huge smile on his face. Jade looked up and saw the look on his face and said ¨ Truth or Dare Damion?.¨ Damion said ¨ Truth!.¨ Jade then said ¨ do you like me back?.¨ Damion said ¨ yes I do like you back , and do you want to be my girlfriend?.¨
       Everyone was silent and then Jade nodded and said ¨ yes! of course I do!.¨ And then Damion said ¨ Truth or Dare David?.¨ David smiled and said ¨ Dare.¨ Damion thought about it for a second and said ¨ I dare you to go and kiss Ruby on the cheek.¨
       David blushed and then said ¨ only if she allows it , I won’t do anything she’s uncomfortable with.¨ Ruby smiled a small smile and then said ¨ you can, but only because you were respectful enough to ask first.¨ David walked up to her and kissed her on the cheek . Then he walked back to his spot in the circle , blushing.
           Then David asked Damion ¨ Truth or Dare Damion.¨ Damion looked confused and then said ¨ I just asked you , you are supposed to ask someone else . But Dare.¨ David grinned and said ¨ I hoped you would choose Dare. I dare you to kiss Jade on the lips.¨ Damion smiled and said ¨ gladly! ¨.
 Damion stood up walked over to Jade took her hand and helped her up and then put his hand around her waist pulled her close and kissed her. For Jade it seemed like she was kissing him for years, it was the best thing that had ever happened to her. When they finally parted they both looked dazed as if they had just waken up from a amazing dream. Damion slowly walked back to his spot and Jade sat back down at her spot.
      Aaron’s face was red and he had a few tears just waiting to come out. Ginny rubbed Aaron’s back and he smiled a little and then Ginny said ¨ Ruby Truth or Dare?.¨ Ruby quickly said ¨ Truth.¨
     Ginny asked ¨ if David ever asked you to be his girlfriend , what would you say ?.¨ Ruby thought about it for a few seconds and said ¨ I would say that I would go on one date with him and if it worked out then I would consider it. And I would let him choose what we would do.¨
      David’s face lit up and said ¨ will you go on a date with me , as soon as this storm passes?.¨ Ruby grinned and said ¨ okay sounds good to me!.¨ Then Ruby said ¨ Ginny , Truth or Dare?.¨
    Ginny smiled and said ¨ Dare!¨. Ruby laughed and said ¨ go out into the rain for 10 seconds!.¨ Ginny looked at Ruby as if she had just dared her to eat a piece of cake and she said ¨ well that’s really easy!, okay here I go.¨
     Ginny ran out into the rainy and after three seconds she cried out in pain saying ¨ the rain feels like knifes are being thrown at me , please let me come back in !!!!.¨ Ruby’s face looked really worried and said ¨ okay your ten seconds are up anyway.¨ Ginny was freezing when she came back, you could almost see frost on her face and hands.
     She was trying not to cry the rain was coming down so hard that it really hurt her. She had some blue bruises on her arms. Everyone was looking at her with concern . Then David said in a do as I say voice ¨ let’s stop the game. We also need to get the fire bigger, and get Ginny closer to the fire.¨
      Ginny gingerly walked closer to the warm fire and sat down on the dirt floor. Jade got one of the blankets and wrapped it around Ginny to keep her warm. The blanket was white and soft and probably made of cotton.
       It was midday and everyone was getting really hungry. Simon had just woken up and he sat up in his hammock which didn’t work out so well. He ended up falling out of the hammock. He landed on a the ground with a big thump , everyone looked at him and everyone laughed a little and then Simon groaned and said ¨ I’m soooo hungry!!! Do we have anything to eat or drink?!.¨
          Aaron and Damion both shook their heads and Jade frowned and said ¨ I don’t know, can you go and check the food supply David ? Oh and Ruby, can you find something that we can hold water in so we can see if the rainwater is drinkable.¨
      David and Ruby both looked at Jade and said in unison ¨ okey dokey¨. Then they both laughed and looked at each other and they both blushed. David blushed a little more than Ruby though. A few minutes later David frowned and said ¨ bad news everybody , we only have enough food for lunch and that’s it. We all know that we can not go out in this weather, so I honestly don’t know how we will be able to eat.¨
           Everyone groaned and then Ruby said ¨ I can not find any cup like things for water. The only way we could get water is if we stick out our tongues, but the water is so painful it would punch a hole through our tongues.¨ Every laughed a small laugh.
       Then Damion stood up and said ¨ everybody listen up! This storm looks like it will not go away for a few days or so. So we will not be able to leave the cave until the storm passes. That means five things four of which really suck! One of which is a good thing.¨ ¨ The good news is that we will have some time to get to each other. Bad news is that we will have no privacy, no food or water,and it will be cold and wet.¨
       Everyone groaned loudly and you could hear it echoing in the cave walls. Ruby then said ¨ well that sucks , we only have one meal left so what about we use up one serving a day . I mean we have mushrooms, berry jam, edible leaves, meat. So we can have a little bit berry jam and edible leaves every morning for a few days. A little bit of meat for lunch and a little bit of mushrooms for dinner. But we need to remember that we have to split one person's meal per day.¨
      Aaron counted the berries , mushrooms, and leafs in one serving. When he was done he said ¨ there is enough for everyone to have 2 mushrooms per meal and 3 berries per meal and one leaf.
         Simon and Ginny groaned and held their stomachs. Everyone else looked upset . The rain was plummeting onto the ground. You could not be within five feet of the cave's entrance without getting soaked. They ate there very small amount of meat.
       And they sat silently wondering if they would survive this storm. Or if they would survive this world.


Chapter 9: Later That Day/ break up plan


Later that day in the evening ,Ginny was drawing hearts in the dirt with her pinky. Ruby and David were talking in hushed voices and were laughing every once in a while. Simon and Aaron sat in a corner and glared at Damion and Jade , they were also talking about how they hated Damion for winning Jade’s heart. Damion and Jade were sitting in the other corner talking and laughing and drawing their names in the dirt.
        A few minutes later Aaron had a mischievous smile on his face. He whispered in Simon’s ear and said ¨ Damion has eighteen different personalities, and some of them are not good. So I was thinking we could warn Jade about the bad personalities and tell her we just don’t want her to get hurt.¨ Simon smiled and whispered back ¨ and then she might dump him! That sounds great , we can tell her tomorrow.¨
      About a hour later everyone sat around a newly lit fire and ate 2 mushrooms each. When they were done they all went to their hammocks or rock ledges and laid down and tried to fall asleep. Around ten minutes later everyone but Jade and Damion were asleep. Damion crept out of his rock ledge and slowly walked over to Jade’s rock ledge and whispered ¨ hey babe, can I sleep next to you tonight.¨
    Jade blushed and nodded and scooted over and said ¨ come on in Damion.¨ After about five minutes they had both fallen asleep in each others arms.


Chapter 10: Break up plan activated


The next morning , it was still raining buckets and you could hear very loud thunder . It sometimes was so loud that you would be deaf for a few minutes. There was also pink cotton candy colored lightning . Everyone was groaning in hunger , and they stumbled out of their hammocks and rock ledges.
         They all were dizzy and had huge head and stomach aches from not eating as much as they should and from the very loud thunder. The thunder sounded like Zeus and Aries were in a horrible fight to the death that raged on and on.
       A few hours later they all ate their really small lunch. And after they had finished Simon and Aaron walked up to Jade and Aaron said ¨ hey Jade , we need to talk to you can you come with us to the back of the cave?.¨
       Jade nodded and followed them to the back corner. When they sat down Jade said ¨ so what do you boys want to talk to me about? If you want me to make a new rule the answer is no.¨ They laughed and Simon said ¨ no, we are not asking you to make a new rule. But we need to warn you about Damion, because we don’t want you to get hurt.¨ She shook her head and said ¨ you two are just jealous that he is my boyfriend.¨ Aaron shook his head and said ¨ no, no It’s not that we are jealous, I mean we are but we are just trying to warn you about Damion's many personality disorder.¨
      Jade then looked confused and she said ¨ what disorder?.¨ Aaron then said ¨ Damion has 18 different personalities and some of them are really bad and mean and they can and will hurt you.¨ She then shook her head and said ¨ even if that is true, it doesn’t matter. If I get hurt it’s my problem not yours.¨
     Jade then got up then went to go play with Ginny, who was drawing in the dirt. Simon and Aaron just rolled their eyes and started talking about the mistake Jade was making by not listening to them. David was talking to Ruby about the rain and how hungry they were.
    A few hours later in the early evening everyone was eating there small portion of food when all of a sudden the rain stopped and the thunder went silent. Everyone looked up from their food and Ruby stood up and said ¨ I will go and see if the rain has truly stopped.¨
     She walked out to the edge of the cave and looked around at the forest to see the damage the rain had done. After a few seconds a loud clap of thunder was heard from above. A black bolt of lightning shot at Ruby and hit her shoulder, before she could move out of the way. She fell back and David ran up to her and caught her before she could hit the dirt floor.
     He looked very worried and had tears at the edge of his eyes. Everyone surrounded Ruby with worried horror struck faces. Ruby’s shoulder and arm were burned badly it was orange and red and black it was hot to the touch. Her arm hurt so bad that she couldn’t stand it . She was very dizzy , she looked up at David and said in a small whimper ¨David?¨.
     Then her eyes fluttered and closed . David shook her but she didn’t move. David was freaking out and shrieked ¨ IS SHE DEAD??? SHE CAN’T BE DEAD!!!!.¨


Chapter 11: The package


Aaron kneeled down and put two fingers on Ruby’s neck to check her pulse. Everyone was silent for a few seconds and then Aaron looked up and said ¨ she’s alive! She just passed out, I do not know how long she will be out for.¨ David was now sobbing tears of joy and worry the through sobs he said ¨ let’s … put her…. on… my rock...ledge...¨.
       Aaron nodded and they picked her up and set her on the rock ledge and put a blanket over her to keep her warm. David found a small log and dragged it next to where Ruby was laying down. He sat down and held her hand while she lay there.
Jade slowly walked towards the front of the cave. She saw a small rectangular package. Wrapped in a ivey green soft leaf with a golden ribbon tied around it with a name tag on it. She walked up and picked up the package and read the label, it read.

            To; My dear friends from San Francisco


She carried the package inside and handed it to Damion and said ¨ have you ever got a package like this from her before?.¨ Damion stared at it for a second and nodded and said ¨ yeah, we got one of these two years ago. It had a message inside saying that we would get one more of these but different in two years. But I totally forgot about it till now.¨ Jade then said ¨ well should we open it? do you think it’s safe?.¨
     He shrugged and shook the package and said ¨ ummm it feels empty, but I don’t know I guess we should but you should step back so if something happens you won’t get hurt.¨She then said ¨ but what about you ?.¨ Damion smirked and said ¨ I can take care of myself ,¨ . Then he whispered to himself ¨ I hope...¨.
      Everyone stood back and Damion opened the box . The box glowed and then a image of Golden China Girl flew into the air black and purple clouds swirled around her and then her mouth moved . It said ¨¨ yeah, we got one of these two years ago. It had a message inside saying that we would get one more of these but different in two years. But I totally forgot about it till now.¨ Jade then said ¨ well should we open it? do you think it’s safe?.¨
     He shrugged and shook the package and said ¨ ummm it feels empty, but I don’t know I guess we should but you should step back so if something happens you won’t get hurt.¨She then said ¨ but what about you ?.¨ Damion smirked and said ¨ I can take care of myself ,¨ . Then he whispered to himself ¨ I hope...¨.
      Everyone stood back and Damion opened the box . The box glowed and then a image of Golden China Girl flew into the air black and purple clouds swirled around her and then her mouth moved . It said in a high pitch but doom like voice “ you will never survive my mind,you may have survived the rain storm. But you will never survive the hell I will put you through. I have one warning for you, if you don't follow through in the next three days all the food in the woods will be gone. Kill Ginny with Damion's butterfly knife and the little food there is will stay.”
     After hearing that Ginny started to cry and backed away from the rest of them. Jade walked over to her and said “ don't worry honey , nothing will happen to you. As long as I have a say in it.” She nodded whipping tears off her face and said red faced “ what are we going to do? What are we going to do ? I don't want you guys to starve but I don't want to die either!.”
    Jade looked as if she was thinking and then she shook her head . And then she said “ I will talk to the others and we will plan our next form of action. Okay?.” Ginny shook her head quickly. Then Jade walked over to the other guys and said “ Simon you stay in the cave with Ginny and Ruby , while I go on top of the cave with David , Aaron, and Damion. And do not complain!.”
           Simon looked upset and angry and then he sat down on the log next to Ruby. He sat there with a big frown on his face. Jade and the other boys walked outside and climbed up the rocky side of the cave. It was still wet from the rain and they almost slipped several times. When they got to the top Aaron spoke first and said “ I can't stand so little food because of the rain. I say I can take Ginny out into the woods when she is asleep and I can slit her throat with Damion's knife. So it's over with.”
        Jade looked so horrified and angry with Aaron for even suggesting such a thing she slapped him across the face. Leaving a dark red mark on his face which would end up leaving a bruise. Aaron's mouth dropped open and he said “ you will pay for that bitch!”. He stepped towards Jade and tried to punch Jade.
    But Damion stepped in front of Jade and grabbed Aaron's fist and twisted it which sprained it. And then he punched him in the stomach. Then Damion said angrily said “ how dare you! Try to hurt my girlfriend. Never insult her again either. If you do I will cut your hand off!. Understand?!.”
         Aaron nodded holding his wrist and bowed his head and said “ I'm sorry Damion, I won't do it again”. Damion shook his head and said “ it's not me you should be saying sorry to.” Aaron nodded his face was pale except for the red part from where he had been slapped. Then with sweat pouring down his face he said “ I'm sorry I called you a bitch and I'm sorry I tried to punch. But what are we going to do about the killing Ginny thing?.”
Jade then said “ thank you for saying sorry and I don't know what we are going to do about it .
What do you think David and Damion?.” David said “ well we are NOT killing Ginny, that's for sure. I don't know what to do though.” Jade nodded in agreement the said “ what do you think love”. Damion smiled and said jokingly “ well love,” and in a more serious tone said “ I think we should use the three days we have to find and hunt for as much food as possible. We should also find some clean ish puddles of water and some how gather it.”
Jade smiled and said “ okay good plan babe” and then she kissed him on the cheek . Then she said to all three of them “ let's get down and tell Simon and Ginny the plan and let's organize hunting and gathering shifts.” Everyone nodded and th
