Kiteno...Translation

It is the Season of Harvest, so we Women of Diopray are to gather Fruits from the Forest while the Men plow the Farms. But it is during this Season that the Kiteno spider breeds. It possesses a dangerous, venomous bite: Men bitten by Kiteno have their shafts instantly and painfully hardened, which lasts for two full days. The lucky Men become sterile soon afterward.

Riaxi's daughter, Mééla, had asked to come with us. She was of the Age of Becoming but had not yet faced her Halluca. Mééla was permitted and I was to teach her.
While we were out in the Forest, Mééla shrieked in pain
"Aunt Sxisha, my big toes feel warm and I am aroused by it!"
I saw four raised marks on her neck.
"Sit against a tree with your legs outstretched, for that is a symtom of venom from the Kiteno spider, I will find you a vine."

I intended to tie the vine around my niece's big toes to reduce the blood flow however I was not quick enough.
I found a vine and knelt near Mééla's feet, but the Kiteno bite had caused blood to pool too quickly in her big toes. As I was tying the first knot, both of Mééla's big toes burst spraying flesh and blood over both of us. I continued tying the vines to reduce any more blood loss but the shock had already caused Mééla to become unconscious.

With what we had gathered, Mééla and I returned to the village, where she could be treated properly for her condition.
